Lagwagon / Useless Id / Crazy Arm

This gig was the 27th June. I vacillated somewhat over whether to go to this, I’ve been to so many fastcore / powerviolence / crush / grindcore / swell etc gigs of late that an old fashioned gig by an old fashioned punk band probably wasnt going to cut it with me anymore.
And it didnt really.
Crazy Arm were ok, could go far these boys. They’re a Plymouth folk punk band & play quite easily accessible pop punk. Remind me of Gaslight Anthem a bit.
Useless ID were probably band of the night, an Israeli punk band playing some fun straight up punk. They got confused when asked what album ‘the song before last’ was on, then figured out which it was & seemed well chuffed with themselves but failed to actually name the album.
Lagwagon had one of the biggest, tamest, most gentle pits I’ve ever seen accompanying any band. A gentle pushpit. They romped through lots of their earlier songs. People were having a ball & singing along. They played a long set.
I left early.
The video below was just released on Friday. It was made a few days ago & gives you a good idea of what Lagwagon were like.
