Had a fucking belting good time at Trapped Under Ice last night. So fucking pumped after it I must’ve cycled home in half the time I normally do. Not a duff band on the bill, was good to see Broken Teeth again who seem to have come along A LOT since last I saw them (fuck me, why do websites like Louder Than War go on about fucking Stone Roses & Oasis all the time when they could be going on about Broken Teeth), a couple of local abnds & another from the US.
Think at one point we had 15 guys / gals two step moshing AT THE SAME TIME! I know, in a venue the size of the Fleece! Normally you’d need at least the size of a football pitch for 15 people to two step mosh & it not to end up with blood everywhere!
Such a huge bummer TUI are taking a time out. Way gutted. We may be in the midst of the best year for album releases this century but other music news is just one long litany of shit followed by arse followed by wank followed by bolloacks (sic). Not cool.

I wrote about “monster prog quartet” ANTA for Louder Than War a while back. Band have a new album scheduled for release devilishly soon & have touched a load of their mates for remixes of the five tracks on it, the first couple of which fell into our laps today.
Like the best of remixes they’re totally different to the originals. Indeed, they’re as differecnt to the originals as they are from each other too which is equally great. First up is an in yo face breakcore mangling of the track Dolmen by Ladyscraper, all mighty blips & percussivenesses & the like, second is a more languid remix of Cenotaphium II by Mr Underwood.
Both good a worth a moment of your earsies time.
